One New Aftermarket Replacement Steering Sector Gear for MTD, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, and More Riding Mowers
This aftermarket replacement steering sector gear (also called a steering gear plate) is a crescent-shaped metal gear that connects to the drag links in the front steering assembly of riding lawn tractors. When the steering shaft turns the pinion gear, this sector gear moves the drag links left or right to steer the mower. It is recommended to inspect the pinion gear (717-1554) when replacing this part, as wear on one gear commonly causes wear on the other.
