I used this head gasket on my David Brown 990. This was actually the second head gasket I bought because I accidentally installed it upside down. Yes, it can be installed upside down on a 990 because of the orientation of the cooling water port and oil drain on the head. Be very observant of the ports when installing this head gasket.
