This aftermarket replacement valve lifter (cam follower/tappet) fits early Fits John Deere 270 and 404 diesel engines used in the classic 3010, 3020, 4010, and 4020 tractor series, as well as 500-series backhoe loaders and the 600 carrier dumper. The lifter rides on the camshaft and actuates the valvetrain; it is used with block casting numbers R26070, R33180, R34340, R40890, and R40900. Note: serial number restrictions apply -- verify model year and serial number range before ordering (see compatible models below).
