This aftermarket replacement long tie rod outer end Fits John Deere (Fits JD) 40 Series tractors equipped with Mechanical Front Wheel Drive (MFWD). It is a front axle steering component used in the tie rod assembly that connects the steering linkage to the front wheel hubs. Verify your tractor is equipped with MFWD before ordering -- this part is not for standard 2WD front axles.
Important: For the 4640, this part applies to serial number 002437 and later. All listed models require MFWD (Power Front Wheel Drive).
