This semi-circular (half-moon) Woodruff key measures 7/32 in. wide by 7/8 in. in diameter and is used to secure rotating hubs, gears, pulleys, and sprockets to shafts in agricultural equipment, construction machinery, lawn and garden equipment, and general industrial applications. The key seats into a matching semi-circular keyway machined into the shaft, locking the hub and shaft together to transmit torque and prevent relative rotation.
