This aftermarket replacement flywheel (replaces OEM part number 691976) Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton opposed twin cylinder small engines commonly found in riding lawn tractors and lawn & garden equipment. The flywheel mounts on the top of the crankshaft where it stores rotational energy to keep the engine running smoothly between combustion cycles, maintains ignition timing, and acts as a cooling fan to circulate air over the engine. It features an aluminum ring gear that engages the starter motor during cranking.
