This carburetor float needle valve is a critical fuel system component in Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton small engines. Installed inside the carburetor, the float needle works together with the float to regulate the level of fuel entering the carburetor bowl -- opening to allow fuel in when the level drops and closing to shut off flow when the correct level is reached. A worn or leaking float needle valve can cause carburetor flooding, rough running, fuel overflow, or hard starting. Replacing it restores proper fuel metering and smooth engine operation.
