One New Aftermarket Replacement Freewheel Control Rod Spring for Murray / Fits Briggs and Stratton Lawn Tractors
This freewheel control rod spring (roll release spring) is a direct aftermarket replacement for Murray and Fits Briggs and Stratton lawn tractors equipped with a hydrostatic transaxle. The spring provides tension on the freewheel control rod when it is pulled out to disengage the transmission, then returns the rod back into its engaged position when released. A broken or missing roll release spring will prevent the freewheel control from self-returning, leaving the transmission disengaged and the tractor unable to drive under power.
