This shear bolt kit is a protective hardware kit for Murray (Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton) snow blowers. The 5/16-18 shear bolts are installed on the auger shaft and are engineered to break under overload if the auger strikes ice, rocks, or other hard debris, protecting the auger gearbox and drivetrain from costly damage.
