This aftermarket replacement friction disc assembly (Disc As) is a transmission clutch friction disc used in the power train of Caterpillar (Cat) medium wheel loaders and IT-series Integrated Toolcarriers. The paper-based disc provides medium heat resistance, medium wear resistance, and medium energy absorption within the transmission clutch pack. It replaces Caterpillar OEM part number 231-2236 (2312236) and interchange number 8E2153.
