This carrier (also known as a planet carrier) is a precision-fit component of the swing reduction gearbox assembly on Komatsu PC-6 series hydraulic excavators. It is located within the swing machinery and plays a central role in the planetary gear set that transmits swing motor output to the upper structure rotation. Replacing a worn or damaged carrier restores proper swing drive function and helps prevent further damage to the swing reduction assembly.
