The rubber ring mounts onto the friction wheel assembly and contacts the drive disc to propel the machine forward. Over time the rubber wears down, causing the snow blower to lose traction or fail to move - replacing this ring restores full drive engagement. Fits a wide range of MTD-built snow blowers sold under multiple brand names.
