This intermediate piston ring (ring-piston, intermediate position) is a precision engine component for Caterpillar C11 and C13 diesel engines. The intermediate ring seats between the top compression ring and the oil control ring in the piston ring pack, providing secondary compression sealing and helping to control oil consumption and blow-by in the engine.
