This aftermarket replacement Recoil Gp (track adjuster and recoil spring assembly) maintains proper track chain tension on Caterpillar crawler excavators. Located in the front undercarriage between the track frame and front idler, the recoil group uses an internal spring to absorb ground impact and protect the idler, rollers, and track chain from shock loads and premature wear. Replacing a worn or failed recoil assembly restores proper tension and helps prevent de-tracking during operation.
