This aftermarket replacement turbocharger cartridge -- also known as a Center Housing Rotating Assembly (CHRA) -- is the core rotating section of the turbocharger assembly for Caterpillar 3500 Series diesel engines, including the 3512B. The CHRA contains the turbine shaft, compressor wheel, bearings, and seals. Replacing the cartridge restores turbocharger performance when the existing compressor and turbine housings are undamaged, avoiding the cost of a full turbocharger replacement.
