This hydraulic cylinder rod wear ring installs in the lift, hydraulic, and bulldozer cylinder assemblies of a wide range of Caterpillar equipment. The wear ring guides and supports the cylinder rod, preventing metal-to-metal contact and extending the service life of the hydraulic cylinder. This is the rod (not piston) wear ring position.
