This aftercooler gasket kit provides all the seals and gaskets needed to properly reinstall the aftercooler and attaching lines on Caterpillar 3408 series diesel engines. The aftercooler reduces intake air temperatures to improve combustion efficiency; a failed or leaking aftercooler gasket can result in boost pressure loss, reduced power output, and elevated exhaust temperatures. This kit replaces Caterpillar OEM part number 1310800.
