This ignition coil module (armature magneto) is a direct replacement Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton 16-18 HP horizontal and vertical twin cylinder L-head engines with electronic ignition. The solid-state magneto armature generates the spark signal for both cylinders, restoring reliable ignition performance in riding mowers, lawn tractors, and other equipment powered by Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton 400400 through 422700 series engines. Note: OEM part number 394891 has been superseded by Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton 590781.
