One New Aftermarket Replacement McLeod Fire Rake - Wildland Firefighting Hand Tool
The McLeod fire rake (also called a rakehoe) is a standard wildland firefighting and forestry hand tool featuring a dual-purpose head. One side is a coarse-tined rake; the other is a flat, sharpened hoe on a long wooden handle. It is designed to rake fire lines with the teeth and cut branches and sod with the sharpened hoe edge. Designed for construction of fire lines during controlled burns and wildfires. Also used for trail maintenance, clearing underbrush, and managing vegetation.
