What This Is

This is a complete aftermarket tie rod assembly for John Deere New Generation and Generation II tractors, cross-referenced to John Deere part number AR44332. It arrives as one finished unit rather than loose pieces, so you get the inner tie rod end, the outer tie rod end, the threaded center tube, and the clamps and hardware needed to set and hold the steering toe-in. The tie rod connects the steering arms across the front axle and is a common wear and damage point on these tractors, where bent tubes and worn ball ends cause loose steering and uneven front tire wear.

Fitment

AR44332 fits John Deere 2510, 2520, 3010, 3020, 4000, 4010, 4020, 4230, and 4320 tractors. This is the standard tread version, identified by its 11.5 inch inner tie rod tube. The same model range built with the wider 88 inch tread axle uses a longer assembly, John Deere AR44334, which has a 15.5 inch inner tube. Because both share the same model list, the deciding factor is your axle width and tube length, not just the model number, so measure before you order.

What Is Included

You receive one complete tie rod assembly: inner end, outer end, center adjusting tube, clamps, and hardware, ready to install and adjust. Note that many John Deere wide front axles use a tie rod on each side of the steering, so a full rebuild of both sides may require two assemblies. Check your tractor and order the quantity you actually need.

Specifications

Type: complete tie rod assembly. Inner tube length: 11.5 inches (standard tread). Construction: heavy-duty tube with threaded, adjustable ball ends to match the original John Deere design and preserve correct steering geometry and toe-in adjustment.

Cross-Reference

Replaces John Deere AR44332. Do not confuse this with the wide-tread AR44334 (15.5 inch inner tube), which covers the same models on the 88 inch axle.

Ordering Guidance

Confirm two things before buying: your inner tie rod tube length (11.5 inch standard tread for AR44332 versus 15.5 inch wide tread for AR44334), and how many tie rods your front axle uses, since many of these tractors run one per side. Matching tube length and quantity to your machine avoids a fitment return and gets your steering tight again.

2010 Modification

I’m very happy with the tie rods. I used them on a 2010 by modifying the steering arms to fit the bigger ends. Actually improved the tractor. Pricing was very reasonable also.
