This cylinder head plate gasket seals the cylinder head plate to the engine block on Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton small engines. It is a critical top-end sealing component -- a worn or failed head plate gasket can cause loss of compression, oil leaks, and excessive exhaust smoke.
