This rewind starter housing (also called a recoil starter housing) covers and supports the recoil starter mechanism on Fits Briggs and Stratton small engines. When the starter rope is pulled, the housing engages the flywheel to initiate engine start. The housing is a bare unit -- internal starter components are not included.
