This flat panel foam and mesh pre-cleaner mounts over the main air filter cartridge in the air cleaner assembly, capturing dirt and debris before they can reach the primary filter element and the engine. Installing a pre-cleaner extends the service life of the main air filter and protects the engine from premature wear caused by dust ingestion. Install dry -- do not oil this pre-cleaner.
