One New Aftermarket Replacement Ballast Resistor Fits Ford/New Holland Tractors 2N, 8N, 9N
This ignition ballast resistor (also called a coil resistor or voltage-reducing resistor) installs in the wire between the ignition switch and the coil on Fits Ford 2N, 8N, and 9N tractors. It reduces voltage from a 12-volt electrical system down to the 6-volt level required by the original ignition coil and points, preventing premature failure of both components. Required for tractors that have been converted from a 6-volt to a 12-volt system while retaining the original 6-volt coil. Two-spade ceramic construction with mounting bracket included.

Important Installation Note
