This is the wire mesh strainer screen on the hydraulic lift pump intake. It is a metal screen, not a paper filter element. These lift strainers were made in more than one length, so measure your old screen, mainly its length and outer diameter, and match it before ordering.
Made to fit Massey Ferguson utility tractors such as the 35, 50, 65, 135, 150, 165, 175, 230, 240, 250 and 265, which share the same lift pump pickup screen. Confirm the fit by matching your old screen rather than by model alone.
The screen can be cleaned, but since it is inexpensive many owners fit a new one at service time. To reach it you drain the hydraulic oil and remove the cap at the bottom of the lift housing. It crosses to 1687042M91, 1810744M92 and 1870199M92.
