This planetary pinion gear is a direct-fit replacement for Rockwell drive axles used across a wide range of heavy construction, material handling, and off-highway equipment. The planetary pinion gear is a critical component of the drive axle planetary carrier assembly, transmitting torque from the sun gear to the ring gear to drive the wheel hub. Rockwell axles were later rebranded as AxleTech in 2002 and subsequently acquired by Meritor; this gear is compatible across all three brand designations.
