This bearing sleeve (also referenced as a bushing) is used in the boom arm bucket linkage assembly on Caterpillar hydraulic excavators. It provides a wear surface at the pivot points in the boom/arm/bucket linkage, absorbing load and reducing metal-on-metal contact to extend the life of the surrounding components.
