One New Aftermarket Replacement Insert-Valve Inlet for Caterpillar (Cat) 3100 Series Diesel Engines
This aftermarket replacement inlet valve seat insert (also known as an insert-valve inlet) is pressed into the cylinder head to provide a hardened seating surface for the intake valve. The insert absorbs and dissipates heat, reduces valve seat wear, and helps maintain a tight combustion seal under the high pressures and extreme temperatures of heavy-duty diesel engine operation. It is a cylinder head component used during engine overhaul or top-end rebuild on Caterpillar 3100 series diesel engines.
