One New Aftermarket Replacement Shaft-Planetary for Caterpillar (Cat) Excavators
This planetary shaft (replaces OEM part number 1484634 / 148-4634) is an internal component of the swing drive gearbox on Caterpillar excavators. The swing drive gearbox rotates the upper structure of the excavator on the undercarriage chassis. Three planetary shafts are used per swing drive assembly, working in conjunction with the planetary gears, sun gears, carrier, and ring gear to transfer torque from the swing motor to the slewing ring. Replacing worn or damaged planetary shafts restores proper gear mesh, prevents further damage to the carrier and housing, and returns smooth, controlled swing operation.
