This aftermarket replacement Plate-Brake (OEM part number 1067438 / 106-7438) is a steel reaction plate used in the steering clutch and brake group assembly on large Caterpillar (Cat) track-type tractors and pipelayers. It is an external-toothed (EXT TH) steel disc within the wet brake and steering brake system, providing the non-friction mating surface for the brake pack.
