This hydraulic back-up ring (also called a backup ring or BU ring) is used in hydraulic cylinder and valve assemblies throughout Komatsu excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders. Back-up rings are installed alongside O-rings to prevent seal extrusion under high-pressure hydraulic conditions, maintaining the integrity and longevity of the sealing system. This is a metric PTFE (Teflon) cut/spiral-style ring conforming to Komatsu OEM specifications.
